I've been trying to find the recipe for the Disney sugar cookies with sprinkles (not the cut out kind) but the giant ,thick ones sold at the resorts and parks. Had it at one time ,but during our recent move lost it. HELP!

Hi, Steven! My sources tell me that Minnie Mouse keeps her Minnie's Bake Shop recipes closely guarded. However, I have a magic wand that is the thingamabob that does the job of discovering delicious secrets! I found a recipe on a few websites that looks more like one for the thick, drop-style cookies found in the resort gift shops. See if this looks right to you.

1 cup butter (2 sticks), softened
    1 cup light brown sugar
3/4 cup powdered sugar (make sure you use powdered, not granulated sugar!)
    1 egg
    2 tablespoons water
    1/2 teaspoon vanilla
    2  2/3 cup all-purpose flour
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1/2 teaspoon baking soda
    Optional add-ins:
3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate morsels or dark chocolate chunks
    3/4 cup toffee bits
1 cup chopped pecans or almonds
3/4 cup of anything else you may like, such as M&M's, Reese's Pieces, butterscotch chips, etc.

Cream the butter and both sugars using electric mixer high speed. In a second bowl, stir together egg, water and vanilla. Add the egg mixture to the sugar mixture and beat just until blended. Stir dry ingredients and then stir into the dough until it is almost mixed in. Add any optional add-ins and continue stirring. Chill the dough for several hours, overnight to get even fatter cookies!

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Stack two cookie sheets on top of each other (so the bottom does not get too hot). Using an ice cream scoop, place cookies a few inches apart on the top sheet. Put the cookies in the oven, reduce heat to 350 degrees F and bake for 15 minutes. Pull sheet from oven. Using a spatula, push the cookies inward to make them fatter (taller, less wide). Return to oven and bake for another 3-5 minutes or until cookies appear just set. Do not overcook! Remove from oven and let cool.

Looking at this recipe makes me want to whip up some magical cookies now, too!
