Trying to find information about the saying that is played in the monorail right before it closes. What language is spoken and how do you spell the saying. My granddaughter can repeat it but we would like to see it written. Thanks for your time and info

Hi, Mary Sandra! This may be one of my favorite questions we have ever been asked! Just hearing that phrase puts a big smile on my face and takes me immediately to the Walt Disney World Monorail System, riding high above Seven Seas Lagoon. While I may be the Panelists answering you, I think if you gathered us all in a room and asked for someone to shut the door, there would be one quote that would be said in unison:

"Please stand clear of the doors! Por favor manténganse alejado de las puertas!"

As one of the most well-known phrases translated from English to Spanish in Disney Parks, it has undergone many voicing changes over the years. It was originated by Jack Wagner, "the voice of Disneyland," and is currently voiced by Tom Kane. During the Disney Parks Moms Panel training weekend I attended, one of the Disney Cast Members that came to speak to us had a very distinct voice. He finally gave us a hint as to how we knew him; I think he only got out, "Please stand clear..." before we all gasped! It was so amazing to hear Matt Hanson speak the spiel we all knew so well.

I have to warn you that this phrase is addictive, Mary Sandra. You will now find yourself repeating this every single time someone asks you to close a door or to watch out for a door. I have one other nostalgic Disney Parks phrase for you, "Please remain seated until the boat reaches the dock. Then, gather your belongings and exit to the right!"

    Have a magical day!
