Hi Theresa,
Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by with your question about
Walt Disney World Resort.
Many years ago, I attended a Protestant worship service at
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, and my husband remembers attending Catholic services at Walt Disney World Resort, too. However, I don’t recall seeing any information about any religious services offered for several years, so I checked with a Cast Member to see if any are currently offered. I was told that religious services are not regularly offered, but that there might be a service offered for Christmas, though no information has been announced. You can check back closer to the date, and we can confirm that for you.
Now, there are many houses of worship outside the Walt Disney World Resort that offer services, resources and prayer spaces that I suspect would happily welcome Walt Disney World Guests. You can probably find these through an internet search.
Theresa, did you know there is a “church” in
EPCOT’s World Showcase Norway pavilion? In the
Stave Church Gallery, you can view historical items—some displayed outside of Norway for the first time—to explore how the Vikings’ beliefs impacted their daily life. I visited it recently and learned some incredibly interesting things about their culture, as well as some links between Marvel Characters and the legends of Norway’s history.
Theresa, feel free to check back in December to see if services have been announced for the Christmas holiday. And be sure to let us know if you have other questions.
Wishing you many magical memories,
Shannon
