Trying to find out if the castle still lights up at night at the Magic Kingdom. Nothing I look at seems to have any info.

    Hi Caprice --

Cinderella Castle is awash in gorgeous colored light every night of the year. The colors change every few minutes from peach to pink to lavender to blue. I love riding on the resort line monorail and seeing the castle glow in the distance.

But what you may be referring to is the special lighting that was draped on the castle during the Christmas season last year. The incredible Imagineers and lighting designers applied over 200,000 tiny twinkling lights to almost the entire exterior of the building. The Moms Panelists were lucky enough to see this truly stunning effect during Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party in December of 2007. If you go on YouTube, you may be able to see guest footage of the Cinderella Castle Dream Lights Show that highlights these lights. Spectacular!

In answer to your question, the twinkling holiday lights were taken down in January. I have not heard yet whether they will return this year, but I certainly hope so. However, as I said above, the castle is lit beautifully every night of the year.

    Hope this helps.
