Ahoy there, Ami! Welcome aboard planDisney!
Usually, this is where I'd make a million Disney film references, nautical puns, and a bunch of really bad Dad jokes to really make you feel welcome, but you and your crew arrive tomorrow and there's no time to waste, so let's make a splash!
Sorry, had to make at least one pun...but onward!
It sounds like you already know the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app is the best way to keep tabs on everything that's going on while on your Disney Cruise Line vacation, but some of your crewmates are hitting some rough seas when trying to log in. Not to fear, that's what lifeboats are for, right?
Joking aside, my wife and I had the same thing happen on our recent sailing on the
Disney Wish - I could sign in and...navigate...everything was just fine, and when it came to her phone, we got caught in a loop!
The first thing I did was "force stop" the app - this setting is usually found by doing a long press or press-and-hold on the app on your phone's screen and looking in the app info for the option. Then try relaunching the app to see if they can sign in! If that's still not working for you, I definitely suggest uninstalling the app and reinstalling it - that's what shook things loose for my wife's phone! We were relieved because this was the first time we'd sailed with our little one, and we knew that we'd want to be able to message one another about our whereabouts if I was sent on "go get more food and drinks" duty and they relocated to Toy Story Splash Zone!
Remember, the app really becomes your key to everything aboard once you GET aboard - so if you continue to have issues,
see if they resolve as soon as you connect to the ship's WiFi and have all the information at your fingertips! If this map just won't show you the way once you board, you can set up a meeting with Guest Services from inside the app - you know, on one of them that is working to get some help from the crew!
Whatever you do, don't let your crafty crewmates convince you they need a new phone, haha!
One of the favorite questions I've ever answered here at planDisney is how to allow a little crewmate to use the app for messaging purposes, without having to buy a new phone, which allowed me to use one of my favorite Star Wars quotes of all time! Nearly every app-capable device can make use of the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app, even early-model touch-screen iPods!
I hope that helps you set a course for ensuring the Navigator app does its job, Ami! Have an incredible time on your sailing, and if you have any last-minute questions, you've still got time to drop me another line here at planDisney!
Until then, we'll SEA ya real soon!
