Trying to figure out these new Fast passes and cards/wrist bands.

I'm so happy you're here, Suzanne! planDisney loves to help guests plan their upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacations, and yours begins soon. Like Walt Disney said, "Progress is impossible without change," so let's look at the current tools you can use to get the most magic from your visit.

I'm dating myself, but I remember when FastPasses came out of a machine as paper tickets! These wait-shortening jewels are now called Lightning Lane Passes. They can be purchased in advance as a Lightning Lane Multi Pass, or guests can buy Lightning Lane Single Passes for select attractions individually.

You can make your purchases and select your return times as early as seven days before your arrival if you're staying at a Disney Resort Hotel, or up to three days if you're not an on-site guest. You can read about the included attractions for each theme park and decide what works best for your party. Once you have a plan, you'll open the My Disney Experience Mobile App and select the Lightning Lane Passes Tile to get started.

Keep in mind that these paid passes are completely optional since most attractions also offer standby queues.

Theme park admission has a few options, too. You can use a Key to the World Card, which resembles a credit card, a MagicBand, or your phone to access the theme parks and Lightning Lane entrances.

I like the convenience of using my new MagicBand+ because I don't have to reach for my wallet or phone. You can purchase these at all the theme parks and Disney Resort Hotels. You'll use the band's serial number to link it to your mobile app.

But many of my pals use Disney MagicMobile Service on their phones as their tickets. It's free and easy to set up. Make sure your theme park tickets are linked to your account, and then scroll to the Account section of your mobile app and select "Set Up MagicMobile Entry."

Choices are fabulous, but they certainly make planning more involved. I'm sending faith, trust, and pixie dust that you'll make some magical decision for a practically perfect visit!

Suzanne, thanks again for stopping by planDisney. Hope to see ya real soon!

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
