We are trying to decide between Wilderness Lodge or the Polynesian. We are having a hard time deciding?? Can you tell me why one is better than the other?? We have 2 kids 9 and 5...Thanks!!

    Hi Christy!

What a hard decision to make!

    Wilderness Lodge -

Location - the Magic Kingdom is just a boat ride away (as well as the Contemporary & Ft. Wilderness too!). Its super easy to enjoy our favorite park (daily) since its so close!

Ambiance - the lobby and hidden relaxation areas around this resort are notch. The fireplace is scale-replica of the Grand Canyon. How cool is that!

Amenities - three wonderful dining options, from the Roaring Fork quick serve, to the hoopla of Whispering Canyon, to the beautiful, gourmet Artists Point; the availability of Bunk Bed rooms is a real peace-keeper in our family, since the kids are old enough now where sharing a bed is a mortifying idea! One other huge plus for the Wilderness Lodge is that it's one of the least expensive Deluxe resorts.

    Activities
    - if you have an artistic side, the tours of the lodge are wonderful - currently you can learn about the history of the lodge and the totem poles which grace the lobby; there are always a variety of kids activities as well, things like cookie decorating, pool games, and a Hidden Mickey hunt which is available at the Front Desk.

    Polynesian -

Location: Can't be beat! Just across the Lagoon and a monorail or boat ride away from the Magic Kingdom. You can even walk to the Ticket and Transportation Center to hop a monorail to Epcot. Wishes!

Amenities - Awesome choices here: Kona Cafe is a must-do every trip! Ohana and Captain Cooks round out the options in the Ceremonial Lodge. The Spirit of Aloha dinner show is a wonderful luau experience too.

Activities - From Hula dancing to Torch lighting experience, the Polynesian touches abound.

Does this help? It may not! Sorry!
