I am trying to decide if I would like to visit WDW this year (2008 ) for Christmas or Halloween. Is the entire World decorated for Halloween or are festivites only at the Magic Kingdom? This is causing a mom (Halloween) versus son (Christmas) dispute!

There are some Halloween decorations up in the Magic Kingdom, primarily visible during Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party (MNSSHP). The special Halloween themeing is fairly limited. This is not at all like the Christmas decorations which are everywhere in all the parks and resorts.

As an additional bit of information for your planning, I will say that the crowd levels at the two times can be vastly different. Other than the MNSSHParties, late October is a relatively calm time in the parks. The end of December is the most crowded time of the year at Disney World. You have to weigh what's most important to you.
