I am trying to decide where to stay. Either the Pop Century or the Caribbean Beach Resort. Is there a major difference? And is the money worth it? I am bringing my three year old for her first visit for our birthdays. Thanks

    Amy,

The advantage of moving up to a moderate resort from a value resort include getting slightly larger rooms, and more resort amenities. These resort amenities include things like more elaborate food courts, a table service restaurants, and pools that are a bit larger and more featured.

    Why go with Value?
I Would say that with a smaller party I often find that being able to save the money by going to a value resort and use it elsewhere is pretty appealing. But as the kids get older, or the travel party gets larger, the move to moderate means spending the extra money comes to great use.

    Why go with Moderate?

Another consideration is how much dining and pool time you plan on having back at the resort. If traveling with your 3 year old means a lot more time at the hotel, both dining and in the pool, then maybe you spend the extra money on the resort.

BOTTOM LINE: Unless you expect to eat most of your meals in your actual resort hotel, or if your kids are going to expect a lot of pool time, I would save the money and spend it on other things.

    Have a magical vacation!
