Trying to decide if we should stay at Animal Kingdom lodge or value resort....... Grandparents with 2 grandsons 8 12..... birthday present

    HI Bev!

Our family has been lucky enough to stay at the Animal Kingdom Lodge and at a few value resorts. My feelings are that, if its in the budget, an upgrade to Animal Kingdom Lodge is definitely worth it!

Not only is the lodge beautiful inside and out - it offers plenty of areas for relaxing and enjoying the atmosphere for those who may be less mobile or enjoy a little downtime. The lodge's savannas offer unique views which aren't available at other hotels!

Adults will enjoy free activities such as a culinary tour of the wonderful Boma and Jiko restaurants. Even our kids loved these tours! Everyone can enjoy African story telling near the outdoor fire pit. And, of course, the indoor fire pit offers a fun place to sit and people-watch!

The kids will especially enjoy the pool's water slide and the night vision goggles to catch a glimpse of the animals in the dark!

Our family loves just about everything about the Animal Kingdom Lodge, and I hope yours does too! Have a great trip!
