We are trying to decide between the Port Orleans French Quarter and the Wilderness Lodge. My children are 5, 3 and 1. The boat launch at WL really appeals to me. How easy is it to use? Will I need to fold up my stroller at all between the resort and MK?

I have stayed at the Wilderness Lodge many times. The boat launch is a relaxing, pleasant, and efficient way to travel from there to the Magic Kingdom. I have never been asked to fold my stroller to take it onto the boats here. You will, however, usually be asked to take your child out of the stroller while you are actually getting on and off the boat. This is a safety measure because of a slight height difference between the boat and the dock. Once you are on board, your child can sit right back down in the stroller for the trip to the Magic Kingdom. I also enjoy the boat because it is a convenient way to travel to the wonderful restaurants at the Contemporary, as well as the Hoop Dee Doo Revue at Fort Wilderness.

Port Orleans is a lovely hotel, but if ease of transportation is a deciding factor for you, then the Wilderness Lodge is a clear winner.
