Hi Irene! Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney!
What a dilemma to have, right!? Choosing between two immaculately themed, sunny and beautiful
Disney Resorts Collection hotels can be difficult, especially when you're hoping to have the best.vacation.ever. If you're a return Guest you know that choosing to stay at a Disney Resort is always a good idea. They're convenient to the four Theme Parks, two Water Parks and shopping, dining and entertainment district of
Disney Springs, you're able to use Disney's complimentary transportation to get anywhere you need to go around the Resort. You also get other incredible benefits like
Early Theme Park Entry, where you and your party can enter any Theme Park 30 minutes early each and every morning!
Since the two options you're choosing between are both in the Moderate Resort tier you'll find that they are similar in their pricing options, so let's see where their differences lie and try to help you make this important decision!
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter is honestly one of my favorite Resorts. We were lucky enough to be Guests here more than a few times while I was growing up and I can't wait to get back! The Resort is minutes away from Disney Springs when you ride the breezy and relaxing Water Taxi down the Sassagoula River and you always have the option to stop at
Scat Cat's Club - Cafe for some Mickey-shaped beignets! If you're interested in recreation options you'll find that
Dubloon Lagoon, the pool at the Resort, has a sea-serpent slide AND you're close enough to French Quarter's sister Resort
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside to be able to use their pool if you wish!
Disney Caribbean Beach Resort runs on island time and lets you feel like you're taking a Theme Park and beach vacation all in one! With the addition of the
Disney Skyliner, Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort has become an even more desirable location, providing its Guests a gorgeous bird's eye view of the Resort as they quickly and easily travel to EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios. Dining locations such as
Sebastian's Bistro are known to be terrific and there are other quick-service locations around the Resort. A stay at Caribbean Beach is definitely in my family's future plans because this Resort offers a "5th Sleeper" option room. Even with five members in my family we'll all still sleep comfortably in one room!
You may also want to check out the
Disney Resort Hotels Pocket Guides right in the "Panel Extras" section of the planDisney website! Not only will you get a little more information about each Resort but you'll also see tips from Panelists who have stayed here before, giving you extra insight into all the fun available at each and every Resort.
Whatever you choose, I'm sure you and your family will enjoy every magical moment at Walt Disney World Resort!
