Trying to decide between Pop Century and Port Orleans Riverside. Besides the monetary differences, are there other factors to help with our decision? (early Jan 2014 - boy 5, girl 9) - staying 6 days, we are family oriented foodies

Hi! There are several factors that you can evaluate to see which resort is best for you and your family.

Port Orleans is a great resort, especially if you book the Royal Guest Room, which has a beautiful princess theme. If your daughter is into princesses, you may want to consider booking this resort. Also, there are differences between a Value and Moderate Resort.

I absolutely love Pop Century Resort. It is a value resort though, which means it doesn't have Table Service restaurant options. Port Orleans, on the other hand, is a Moderate Resort and they have Boatwright's Dining Hall, which has canjun-style cuisine. The River Roost Lounge also offers great food and entertainment, including a pianist. There are six pools at Port Orleans Riverside and a huge waterslide. they also offer recreation options, such as bike rentals, fishing and horse drawn carriage rides. The rooms are slightly bigger and you can take a boat launch directly to Downtown Disney.

Pop Century has an excellent pool, but no slide. There are limited recreation options. They have an excellent food court with a wide range of options, but not sit-down restaurant. This resort is also a bit further from the parks, resulting in a longer ride. The rooms are fun and themed well, but they are a bit smaller.

I hope this helps your decision.

    Magically,
    Stacy
