Trying to decide between a March or May visit. We’d like to see the 50 celebration but may is a better time for us. Will we miss a lot of we don’t make it before the anniversary party ends?

    Hey Howdy Hey Marge,

I appreciate you stopping back to see me at planDisney. I can understand your dilemma. It is hard for me to pick when to visit Walt Disney World Resort as I never want to miss any of the special events and activities that are going on throughout the year. It would be so much easier if they would let me move in to Cinderella Castle.

The 50th anniversary celebration, which runs through the end of March, has certainly been The World's Most Magical Celebration! With new attractions and entertainment, delicious food options and special merchandise, the theme parks and Disney Resort Collection hotels are even more magical. If you have the opportunity to visit before the celebration ends, I know you will have a fantastic time. However, since you mentioned that May is a better time for you to travel, I have great news! There will still be plenty pixie dusted magic left to make your trip just as amazing.

While some of the entertainment options will be ending or changing once the anniversary celebrations ends, I am positive the new options will be just as stupendous. This means if you miss the chance to see Mickey's Celebration Cavalcade at Magic Kingdom or Harmonious at EPCOT, you can count on the newest parade or fireworks to be equally as fantastic! On top of that, you will still be able to enjoy the most recently added attractions, like Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, plus a May visit just might coincide with the opening of the new Magic Kingdom roller coaster, TRON Lightcycle/Run. While an exact date has not been announced, it is expected to open in Spring 2023.

My suggestion is to select the month that works best for your travel - the magic will be right there waiting for you no matter when you arrive! If I can help with any additional planning questions, please stop back and see me.

    T-T-F-N (Ta-Ta for now),
