Welcome aboard, Kelly! My family and I have sailed at all different times of year with Disney Cruise Line, and can honestly say that whatever month you choose, you'll enjoy a magical adventure!
We've sailed in both October and February, and I prefer February because we are escaping from colder temperatures back home for the warm waters of
the Bahamas. October may have been a bit warmer at
Castaway Cay, with high temperatures averaging in the mid 80's, and February's temperatures with highs in the low 80's. So, both sound great to me! This past February, we sailed and had great weather at Castaway Cay and loved snorkeling in the Snorkel Lagoon. I'm a chicken about cold water, so no matter what time of year, it takes me a bit of time to make my way in, but once I was in, it was really refreshing and comfortable! My kids, on the other hand, would jump in no matter what!
Onboard, you won't have to worry about water being too cold, as the
pools are automatically heated once the temperature drops below 75 degrees, so it's always swimming time onboard!
One more thing to consider is that if you sail in October, you'll be able to experience one of the
Halloween on the High Seas sailings where the ship is decked out from deck to deck with spooky decor and fun Halloween activities and events. If you're a Halloween lover, you won't want to miss it!
So, Kelly, just choose which of the itineraries fits best with your schedule and book that one! You can not go wrong with either! Have such fun planning!
