I am trying to decide between doing the royal tea on the cruise or the one at the Grand Floridian with Aurora. Can anyone tell me the difference or what each on entails?

    Hi Angie!

I have been looking forward to the time when my fourth child (my only girl) and I will be able to attend one of these Royal Tea Party events! Although I have yet to partake in one of these events for myself, from what I can tell they are very similar. The My Disney Girl’s Perfectly Princess Tea Party is held on select days in the Garden View Tea Room at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, while the Royal Court Royal Tea is available at the Royal Court Restaurant aboard the Disney Fantasy, one of the four Disney Cruise Line ships. The main difference will simply be the location and some of the food choices. Both parties include a My Disney Girl doll, a bracelet, necklace, tiara and a rose, as well as tea and snacks. Young men who attend the party will receive a sword and shield, and a Disney bear.

There are a few slight differences in the gift items, but the basic idea is the same. Both parties will include story time and a character visit as well! Perhaps the choice is best made based on what other activities you wish to plan on either your Disney Cruise Line adventure or the theme park portion of your vacation, and when it will fit better into your plans. I’m sure that no matter which party you choose, your young royalty are sure to have an elegant and memorable time!

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
