Trying to decide about DDP. We're doing Hoop Dee Doo category 1, and also the Perfectly Princess Tea Party. Since neither of these are on the DDP, and we don't want to eat dessert twice daily, we're thinking the DDP won't be worth it. Agree?

    Hey Patrick!

The Disney Dining Plans can be a GREAT value for many families. However, it does sound like it might not be the perfect fit for your family for this trip.

Our family often by-passes the dining plan for the same reasons. My personal preference is to have just a few light snacks during the day and one special meal or dining experience at night. This often means that the dining plan doesn't work for us.

However, if you are considering doing a number of two-credit meals at Signature Disney restaurants like Le Cellier, Citricos, or California Grill (for example) then you could use the credits from the nights you plan on doing other experiences and apply them for those meals. This would mean you're getting some really great meals and still saving money. It's just something to think about!

Thanks again for stopping by the Moms Panel. Please let me and my fellow Moms know if we can help with any other details!
