Trying to decide between Coral Reef and Garden Grill for supper. Which do you rec. for 2 girls 2&6? I know GG has characters but CR has such a cool atmosphere. Plus, is there a dress code at either one. We will be in the park all day.

    Hi Kris,

The Garden Grill and Coral Reef are excellent choices for dinner and our family enjoys both. Neither location requires a dress code outside of the one required in the parks itself (meaning no bathing suits and shirt and shoes required) and you will be quite comfortable in your shorts and t-shirts that you wore to the park.

Garden Grill located inside the Land Pavilion, offers a family style meal of turkey, flank steak, fish of the day, rolls, potatoes, vegetables and salads. The kids meal consists of chicken nuggets, macaroni and cheese, vegetables and potatoes. The Garden Grill does feature the very popular Chip and Dale and is a fun location where the restaurant rotates slowly around in a circle overlooking the Land attraction.

Coral Reef, is attached to the Living Seas pavilion and offers an amazing view of a gigantic wall of the aquarium that is part of the Living Seas exhibit. The menu here is a delicious selection of fresh fish, chicken and steak. The childrens menu typically offers a chicken breast, pasta and fish. If you enjoy fresh fish, the selections here are incredible. All of the tables in the restaurant are turned to face the fantastic view and each table has a fish finder menu to help you locate the various fish and sharks during your meal. You may even be treated to entertainment from divers who are often participating in one of the diving tours at Epcot.

Although we enjoy Garden Grill, Coral Reef is a hands down favorite of ours. We enjoy the incredible menu including the creamy crab bisque and my favorite dessert, The Chocolate Wave. Plus my boys love seeing the characters but that is an activity we can do at various other locations and times, Coral Reef offers a unique dining experience with amazing sea life entertainment that you can not enjoy at any other Disney restaurant.

    Enjoy!
