We are trying to decide between Caribbean and the French Quarter. Kids are 6 and 8 and my parents are going. The Car... has a good water slide/ pool but its alot of walking I hear. Does the Caribbean have a better pool for kids? Is late jan a busy time.

    Hi Karey!

While I do give a small nod to the pool at Caribbean Beach Resort, I have to say that my favorite moderate resort is Port Orleans French Quarter and one of the main reasons is due to its size.

French Quarter is the smallest of the moderates, which means that everything is within a quick walk (a huge perk at the end of a long park day!!). Another asset of this resort is its incredible New Orleans theme that just envelopes you in the feel of the "old South".

Perks of this resort (besides being beautiful) include boat transportation to Downtown Disney, use of the pool and amenities at Riverside (included since French Quarter and Riverside are sister resorts), and a great quick service restaurant featuring Beignets for breakfast! YUM!!

You and your family will have a ton of fun exploring the grounds of both French Quarter and Riverside and checking out the pools and slides at both resorts. Don't forget to hop a boat to Downtown Disney for a nice way to send a few quiet moments traveling down the lazy river!

January is a great time to visit. Typically, crowds are fairly low at this time of year.

    Hope this helps!
