    Trying to decide between Boma and Whispering canyon for our breakfast on our departure day. The other big breakfast we have during our stay is crystal palace and Chef Mickeys. Going w/ husband and 3 sons(ages 2,5,and 9) Thanks a million!

    These are both great choices, you really can't go wrong with either one.

    Boma is in the incredible Animal Kingdom Lodge. Before or after your meal you could walk around there to see the African artworks and, of course, the animals. The food at Boma is served buffet-style, which makes it a good choice for picky eaters. The quality is excellent, and it a fun opportunity for you and your kids to sample some unique African dishes that they might not otherwise encounter. I'll be having breakfast a Boma myself this weekend.

    However, I'm going to recommend that you choose the Whispering Canyon Cafe; it's a perfect example of pure Disney fun. While there are no costumed characters at this location, the servers themselves are real characters. Over the years, the servers have developed dozens of running gags that you may see in the dining room. You will certainly be asked to take part in a hobby horse gallop through the restaurant and your kids will be asked to take the "Whispering Canyon Oath." Straws may fly through the air and you are definitely going to want some ketchup with your meal :-)

    My favorite WCC story happened to us a few years ago. I need my morning coffee, but hubby needs his diet soda fix morning, noon, and night. At breakfast, he asked our server for a "very large" Diet Coke. A few minutes later they wheeled his drink out on a cart. We could have bathed the baby in his soda.
