Hi, I am trying to decide between the BLT and Kadani for my vac. in Oct. I have 4 kids. ages 1, 3, 4, 6. Which resort is more kid friendly and what are the pros and cons of each? We love the location of BLT, but love the atmosphere of Kadani. Help? Thanks

Hi, Cari!  We have stayed with our girls at both Bay Lake Tower and Disney's Animal Kingdom Kidani Village.  I love both resorts, and don't think you could make a wrong decision between the two of them.

With children so young, I think I would probably choose Bay Lake Tower.  I love the easy access to the Magic Kingdom and EPCOT via the monorail, especially if you have a need to come back to the room for nap time or extra baby essentials (although you can purchase pretty much anything you need at the baby care centers in each theme park).  There are rooms at Bay Lake Tower with Magic Kingdom views, which will give you excellent viewing for the nightly Wishes fireworks, or you can head outside and see them very clearly from just outside the resort.  There are also rooms with an excellent view of the Electric Water Pageant.

The animals are a huge draw at Kidani Village.  Especially if you have a savannah view room, your access to a daily view of the animals is phenomenal, and can add quite a bit to the vacation for young children.  We also love Sanaa, the restaurant at Kidani Village.  For a full service restaurant at Bay Lake Tower, you will have to walk across to the Contemporary Resort.

I would say rating the pool areas, both come up about equal.  I give the edge to Disney's Animal Kingdom when it comes to activities in the lobby for children.  Some cost an extra fee, while others are just pure fun.

Have a wonderful vacation, whichever location you choose!
