Welcome, Anne-Marie!
Exploring Europe with Disney Cruise Line was one of the most memorable trips I've ever experienced and I cannot wait to do it again! How amazing that this summer you and your family will be heading out to sea from Dover, England to explore the history and culture of some pretty unique European ports. I can't wait for you to experience it all! Hopefully you've already booked your must-do
Port Adventures in each port to help you get steeped in the flavor of the town! Exciting adventures await!
I see that on your last morning, the ship will begin disembarkation in
Dover around 7:30 a.m. That is the scheduled time, so of course, that is always subject to change, but in my experience, the ship tends to be pretty close to the scheduled times. Once it's in port and the Dover folks have cleared the ship for guest disembarkation, they'll begin announcing for guests to disembark, usually around 7:30 a.m. If you've enjoyed the
Main Dining for dinner throughout the cruise, you'll have an assigned time to dine only on that last morning of about 6:45 a.m. If you've had the second dinner seating throughout the trip, you'll be assigned a final morning breakfast around 8:00. This varies by itinerary, so you'll get the exact time the night before. Also,
Cabanas will be open throughout the morning for guests who simply want to grab a quick bite on their own time instead of a sit-down served meal. Once you're done eating, you'll take your carry-on bags and make your way off the ship. The night prior you'll have left your checked luggage to be taken off the ship, so you'll meet that in the terminal and go through customs. This can take up to an hour, but quite often, it's a pretty quick process. It just depends when you decide to leave the ship and how many other guests are leaving and in line at that same time. All guests must disembark by 9:00 a.m. So, decide when you will plan to leave, and if you'll be staying for breakfast before leaving, add about an hour into that and that will be a good guess as to when to have your transportation meet you in the port pick up area.
If you're looking to head out as early as possible, one option is to use express walk-off. For guests utilizing this option, they'll carry all of their bags off with them instead of sending them ahead the night prior. They will then get to be called as the first guests to leave the ship when disembarkation begins.
Have so much fun as you enjoy everything about exploring Europe with Disney Cruise Line, Anne-Marie!
