Returning to a World of Magic until a later time.
Many of us here at the Moms Panel have also had to modify or cancel vacation plans, and several of us have had similar experiences -- call volumes and hold times to the call center have been high over the past few days, and there have been times when I have just received a busy signal.
Guests with upcoming stays in the next few weeks should have received an email from Disney Destinations with information about
operational updates, and asking them to confirm, modify, or cancel their upcoming visit. When choosing the cancellation option, next steps are then provided. In some cases, you may be able to cancel your reservation online in
My Disney Experience. If you do need to call, I recommend trying first thing in the morning when the
call center opens at 7:00 AM Eastern Time. Sometimes I have better luck getting through later in the evening, shortly before 11:00 PM Eastern Time. You might also try the "Chat" icon in the upper right corner of the
Help Center. I have also seen a blue "Chat Now" button pop up on the right side of the
DisneyWorld.com landing page. I just tried that button a few moments ago and was able to connect to a Cast Member that way.
Chrissy, I wish I had a magic wand like Cinderella's Fairy Godmother to help you sort out canceling your plans. Fingers crossed that you are able to get through soon to manage your reservation.
