Howdy Janette!
Thanks for stopping by
planDisney, a group of the rootinest tootinest Disney vacation enthusiasts you will ever meet this side of
Disneyland Resort! I am so glad that you decided to bring your question to us, and it would be my pleasure to help round up an answer for you. I know that we are all ready to blast off to infinity and beyond, making plans to visit
Disneyland Resort now that they have finally announced their phased reopening. After a year of feeling like a lost toy, it is exciting to know that we can look forward to returning to the magic sometime soon.
Disneyland Park and
Disney California Adventure Park are reopening with significantly limited capacity to comply with governmental requirements and promote physical distancing. All Guests will be required to obtain a theme park reservation through the new
theme park reservation system in advance. At this time, only California residents may visit the parks, and proof of residency may be required.
We do not know when the parks will open to residents outside of the Golden State, but there are some things you can do now so that you are ready once the announcement is made. You can go ahead and
purchase your theme park tickets now, as multi-day theme park tickets purchased today are good through January 2023, or 13 days after the first use, whichever comes first. When residents of states other than California can make theme park reservations, you will be ready for blast off! Keep an eye on the
Disneyland Resort Updates page and the
Disney Parks Blog for the latest up-to-date information as it becomes available.
Remember, you’ve got a friend in us here at
planDisney, so stop back by any time we can lasso an answer for you!
