Seasons greetings, Michelle, and welcome to planDisney! Can you believe we're making holiday plans already? As a fellow Floridian, I was also up this morning trying to secure a coveted dining package, so let's talk about how that went.
I logged in a little before 6:00 AM EST but didn't see an option to reserve a
Candlelight Processional Dining Package. I tried online through the
dining page and the
EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays landing page but didn't see a reservation link.
Next, I hopped on my
mobile app and tapped the plus sign at the bottom of the screen. I chose Check Dining Availability and filtered by "EPCOT" and "Dining Events." Still no luck.
When new products or events go live, I've found the process can be unpredictable, and this morning was no exception. With so many guests attempting to secure the same experience, I suspect the system overloads. Whatever the cause, I stuck with it for almost an hour!
After switching between my laptop and my phone, I finally saw the dining event link pop up for the Candlelight Processional. It was like magic! I'm thrilled to report that I was able to book a dining package for my family in mid-December.
Several of my panelist pals had similar experiences this morning, but some could not secure reservations. I just checked again but didn't find a single opening. I recommend you keep trying off and on because guests' plans change often, and more spots could open. I'm sending a shower of pixie dust and snow flurries for luck!
Another tip is to head to
Regal Eagle Smokehouse the day you want to attend the Candlelight Processional. I did this recently and scored a seat to see Plain White T's at the Garden Rocks Concert Series with this restaurant's same-day dining package. My family arrived about 20 minutes before the restaurant opened and were among the first in line to order their quick-service lunch. The plant-based BBQ Jackfruit Sandwich was delicious!
Michelle, you did everything correctly, but it sounds like that pesky Stitch stood between you and your dreams. Persistence can pay off, so I hope you keep trying. Maybe I'll see you at the processional! Please stop by
planDisney anytime.
Magic awaits,
Elaine
