Hey there Myka,
Welcome to planDisney and thank you for your question! I'm sorry to hear you're running into some troubles while trying to book your trip to the Disneyland Resort - it sounds like Stitch might be getting into the system and causing some trouble!
There could be a few different factors at play here, so the first thing I did was check on my own to see if it would let me book a one-night stay at the
Disneyland Hotel on the 22nd of December and it looks like it would allow me to do that. Therefore, it does seem to be working in general.
Some potential other reasons why I've run into issues like this in the past are because there aren't rooms available that could accommodate my party size. Additionally, I've also heard from some International Guests that they sometimes need to book their stays through a different process due to local rules and regulations.
Therefore, I'd recommend actually
reaching out to a Cast Member at the Vacation Packages line (the direct phone number is +1 (714) 520-5060 if you're not able to access the link I shared) to get some detailed help with your specific situation. Alternatively, you could also reach out to your local travel agent if you have one.
Sorry I couldn't give you a more detailed response, but unfortunately, this situation could be happening for a number of different reasons, so I want to make sure you get the exact help you need! However, I will share that the Disneyland Hotel is my absolute favorite place to stay while visiting the Happiest Place on Earth!
My family and I love its convenient location to both parks (including the easy access to Disneyland Park via the
Disneyland Monorail located nearby in the Downtown Disney District), and the history that comes with this hotel since it was the original hotel for the Disneyland Resort!
If you haven't stayed here before, you might not have heard yet, but the Disneyland Hotel has a really convenient shop called
The Coffee House that typically opens at 6:00 AM and offers
Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering, so you can place an order for a coffee and bagel from the comfort of your room and swing by to grab it on your way into the parks for your
Early Entry perk (since you're staying at one of the hotels of the Disneyland Resort).
Thanks again for your question, Myka! I hope you have a great time visiting the Happiest Place on Earth.
Have a Magical Day,
Greg
