If I buy six tickets and only four of us want to buy lighting lane multipasses; can we do that?

    Hey there Taylor,

Welcome to planDisney and thank you for your question! It's always great to hear from a fellow Arizonan. I'm thrilled to see that your trip to the Happiest Place on Earth is coming up soon!

Theme park tickets for the Disneyland Resort function individually and separately from one another for the most part - even if you originally buy multiple tickets in one transaction. Therefore, you are able to add Lightning Lane Multi Pass on to four of your party's six tickets.

If you decide to add the Lightning Lane Multi Pass option at the point of ticket purchase through the Disneyland Resort website, it will add this option to all of the tickets that you're purchasing at that time. The other time that you're able to add this option is after you scan your ticket to enter a park for the first time on your trip, and at this point, you will be able to select which tickets you want to add the option to within your linked tickets in the Disneyland Resort mobile app.

My family and I did this on a recent trip because my wife is not a huge thrill ride person and our daughter was too young to ride many of them, but our son was extremely eager to try them out. We ended up purchasing Lightning Lane Multi Pass for my ticket and my son's ticket, but we kept it off of my wife's and daughter's tickets.

One thing I'll mention here for posterity's sake is that Lightning Lane Multi Pass does have limited availability, so it's possible that quantities could run out, though from my experience that is quite rare. My suggestion would be to plan on entering the parks as early as possible on the first day of your visit and purchase your Lightning Lane Multi Passes as soon as you enter the park through the mobile app. Just tap the green banner near the top of the home screen of the app and follow the purchase steps.

Additionally, I'd recommend linking your party's tickets together on your mobile app so it'll be easy for you to add Lightning Lane Multi Pass to whoever needs the feature. You can do this by tapping the menu button in the app, selecting "My Tickets & Passes" then "Link Tickets & Passes" and following the linking steps.

Thanks again for your question, Taylor! I hope you have a great time at the Happiest Place on Earth.

    Have a Magical Day,
    Greg
