I am trying to book a last minute cruise with my family of 4, kids aged 4 and 2. There are only two room types on the two cruises we are looking at on the Wonder; an interior room on deck 1 and a TBA ocean view room. What are the pros and cons to both?

Welcome aboard, Arian! Isn't it exciting to decide to set sail with Disney Cruise Line at the last minute? That means that you don't have to wait long until you are boarding the ship and the Cast Members announce your family name and applaud your arrival, making for the most magical start to your cruise vacation!

You really can't go wrong with any stateroom on the Disney Wonder. My family and I have sailed in all types, and have had fabulous experiences no matter what. However, if the cost isn't prohibitive, I highly recommend that you choose the GTY Ocean View Stateroom over the Inside Stateroom on the Wonder if possible. Some guests are concerned since that means that they won't know the exact stateroom location until closer to the sail date, but choosing a Guarantee Stateroom is such a plus in my books. Why? Well, you are guaranteed to have a stateroom in that category or better. Each time we've booked a GTY stateroom, we've had a good experience, and have found a couple times that we've been assigned a stateroom that was in a better and more expensive category, but we've paid this Guarantee price saving us a lot of money! Secondly, I do really enjoy having a porthole in our stateroom if not a verandah, as it is so nice to open the drapes in the morning to see the beautiful port of call or the wide open sea. It makes the cruise so much more magical.

However, that being said, an inside stateroom is wonderful too, and since my family and I prefer to be out and about on the ship, enjoying the activities and events that take place all day and night, we don't spend too much time in the stateroom anyway! So, book the one that works best for your budget, and get ready to set sail with Captain Mickey and his crew for a magical adventure, Arian!

    Happy planning!
