The holidays are the most wonderful time of the year, and truly the most magical at the
Walt Disney World Resort! Because it is so magical, it is a very popular time to visit, and with mid-December being only about 6 weeks away, options may be limited. But let’s talk about some options for you!
Here at planDisney, we are real Guests, just like you, here to offer our expertise and trip planning advice. I would recommend you use the Walt Disney World Website to do some general planning, but since you’ll need multiple rooms, you may prefer to
call to book. Over the phone, you’ll be able to make sure there are multiple rooms available and have a code added to your reservations that you are a group traveling together so that you can request rooms near each other. Currently, hold times can be long. I would find a time when you have a few hours without plans. I like to use my mobile phone and put it on speaker so I can listen to the hold music while I get other things accomplished around the house! You can also book online. Know that you cannot have two rooms on the same reservation number, so you would need to book one room and complete the reservation, then book a second room. If you wanted to request rooms near one another, you will still need to call and have that added to your reservations. Now let’s talk resorts!
I’m not sure how many days you are looking to stay Jo Ann, but I did a quick
search using the Walt Disney World Website for available rooms with a check-in date of December 15, 2021. I do see a few options for you! While I always love Deluxe Villa Accommodations for larger groups, I don’t see any with availability at that time. So you’ll need to book multiple smaller rooms. Search for a room for 4 not 7 to find availability. If you’ll want more space, I highly recommend
Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. They offer Family Suites that feature two bathrooms, a separate master bedroom, a kitchenette, and sleep up to 6. Especially if you’ll have adults staying together, it is nice to have the additional space of a Family Suite.
You can also consider booking multiple standard rooms at some other available resorts. I see some wonderful choices with availability. Enjoy your morning coffee while you watch the giraffe munch on their breakfast from your balcony at
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. Walk to Magic Kingdom from
Disney’s Contemporary Resort, or enjoy the luxurious new Gran Destino Tower at
Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort. These are all excellent choices, Jo Ann!
