Welcome, Paul!
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is one of my family's absolute favorite places to stay during our visits to the Walt Disney World Resort. Staying there we discovered
Sanaa at Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas, now a must-do on our dining list for each visit, whether or not we're staying at this resort or another. The food is amazing, and the atmosphere with animals just outside the window is pretty spectacular! Arrive early and stroll along the outside viewing areas to get up close and view the animals with the provided binoculars too! The kids especially love this, along with the animal spotting guides so they know what each one is.
I'd recommend calling to speak with a Cast Member to ask about those
dining reservations and see if they're available by calling (407) WDW-DINE, or (407) 939-3463. You should be able to book for a group of ten as long as space is available for that day and time. If you don't find that reservations are available at the time, keep checking as guests change their plans all the time and space may become available.
I hope you get to experience Sanaa with your group. The Indian Style Bread Service is a must-have, especially with a large group. My family orders it to start each time and it's been such fun trying the different breads and accompaniments that go along with it. Ask your dining server for tips on the best sauces to combine, because trying them alone is great, but mixing them provides even more culinary adventure, Paul!
Have fun!
