Hello Nicole!
I love a good riddle or trivia question, so your question caught my attention, and really has had me pondering! Sometimes human nature is that we get an image in our mind, and that image sticks, even if it isn’t quite correct. I suspect that is what has happened with this description of a “music pavilion.” You may have already tried to search yourself, so you may already know there isn’t something with that specific name at a
Walt Disney World Resort Hotel. Never fear, I do have a few ideas!
Of course, the easiest thing would be for your family to look more specifically at what they have booked. A confirmation email should have the exact name of their resort, and that would be the most accurate solution. I also have a family however, and I know sometimes getting them to move at my speed versus their speed is a challenge.
Disney does have an entire music-themed resort hotel.
Disney’s All-Star Music Resort offers larger-than-life decor that features popular styles of music from calypso to jazz! There are standard rooms that sleep 4, and even Family Suites that sleep up to 6 Guests. Ordinarily, this would be where my mind would go immediately. However, this
resort has not reopened yet, and to the best of my knowledge is not accepting bookings for October.
Another Value Resort,
Disney’s Pop Century Resort has a section themed to the 1950s. In that section is a two-story-tall replica of a table-top jukebox, like you would find on your table in a vintage diner. My hometown had a diner like this and those little music players are still on the tables! Perhaps if one saw this photograph, I could see associating this as staying near the “Music Pavilion.”
I have one more idea. Are we sure that this is a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel? Another major Orlando theme park does have a rock-and-roll-themed hotel and it isn’t uncommon for folks to misunderstand that there are multiple theme park companies in the Orlando area. I know you mentioned they paid with
Disney Gift Cards, but it is still worth a double-check. Along the same lines of images in our minds of “music pavilion” perhaps “gift cards” could mean something like credit card rewards points, or a generic Visa or Mastercard gift card.
I would suggest gently asking them again for the trip details so you can book your resort as well. The Walt Disney World Resort is the perfect destination for an extended family vacation. I hope you can get this figured out and that you'll return with more questions as you plan your visit, we are here to help!
