Royal Greetings, Sherrie!
Thanks for bringing your question our way. I'm so sorry to hear you weren't able to snag a
coveted Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique reservation at Magic Kingdom Park when your booking window opened. As you can imagine, princes and princesses from all over the kingdom have their hearts set on this
Enchanting Extra, so appointments tend to book up quicker than Cinderella's glass slipper goes missing.
But, I urge you to have faith in your dreams and
continue checking for availability as your travel dates near. As Fairy Godmother says, even miracles take a little time. Guest plans change often, so you just might be surprised if a cancellation opens up a spot. If not, it never hurts to inquire in person during your visit. I can't guarantee something will be available, but you'll never know unless you ask.
Depending on the age of your child, you may also want to consider a service nearby at
The Grand Floridian Spa. They do have a few service options for Magical Makeovers (hair and makeup priced separately) for guests over age five, as well as nail services and child haircuts for guests aged 5-13. I know it's not quite the same as being in the heart of Magic Kingdom, but it could be a fun and magical alternative. Keep in mind that offerings are always subject to change.
When I visit the parks, I like to add a bit of extra sparkle to my makeup, or even don a set of temporary tattoo glitter freckles for the day. It's a fun way to add a bit of pixie dust without committing to an elaborate hair and makeup transformation in the Florida humidity. I'm sure your child would enjoy doing the same, even if you decide to forgo the full makeover experience.
Sherrie, I hope this helped. Please come back and see us again with more planning questions. We're always happy to share our personal recommendations and tips for maximizing the magic on your vacation.
Magic and memories,
Amy
