Is it true Disney stopped free evening magic hours to guest staying on property or DVC members we now have to pay extra for that benefit?

    Hi Joyce,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. It looks like you are coming Home during the holidays, and I’m so happy for all of the magical experiences you will have over Thanksgiving!

So many complimentary perks come along with Disney Vacation Club, and Moonlight Magic is one of my favorites! They are such a popular event that everyone offered this year has sold out! Rightly so, as a VIP evening in the Park with little-to-no wait times, refreshments, and mingling with fellow Members is a magical combination.

So far, the Big Boss (i.e., Mickey Mouse) has given NO indication that Moonlight Magic or Extra Magic Hours are ending. If you compare Moonlight Magic's 2018 and 2019 schedules, they follow the same pattern, with the events ending in late Fall. Since both events are a beloved part of Walt Disney World, I suspect that at the end of the yEAR we will hEAR about more magical moments for 2020! Keep an EAR out on the Disney Parks Blog; it will be the first place to announce all the enchanted 2020 offerings.

Joyce, if you have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to come back. I wish you a magical holiday vacation.
