Is it true when Disney offers free dining if you are staying at AOA in the Little Mermaid rooms then you are not able to participate in the free dining? I don't understand why HELP please :-) Thanks you guys are awesome!!

    Shannon,

Whenever Disney offers special promotions, they are often limited to select resorts. In many cases these promotions relate to resorts where they need to book more rooms. So if they are already filling up a particular resort or type of room, offering discounts for that same resort just doesn't make sense.

I did look up the currently offered promotion, and you are correct. They are excluding a few different types of accommodations, including the Art of Animation Resort Little Mermaid Standard rooms. My guess would be that they are filling these rooms already, so giving away something like free dining will not help them in getting more guests.

Another area that cannot participate are 3-bedroom villas. I have always heard that these rooms are filled quickly, and Disney never has a problem keeping them filled through much of the year. So why give something away here, when people are already clamoring to stay in them?

I know it can be frustrating, but remember that often other promotions, like room discounts, can actually save you more money.

Sorry you can't go in on the free dining, but I am sure you will still have a GREAT time!

    Have a magical vacation!
