Hello, Emily!
Welcome back to planDisney! Thank you for your continued trust in us to help with your Disney World planning questions. I can feel the holiday excitement from here, and I’m thrilled about your upcoming visit to the
Most Magical Place on Earth during the most wonderful time of the year! With the holiday decorations and festive entertainment, there is so much to look forward to, especially at events like
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party!
To answer your question,
Walt Disney World Resort Property Rules allow Guests to bring tripods and monopods, provided they meet specific size requirements. Tripods and monopods must be 6 feet or shorter and fit inside a standard-sized backpack. As always, be mindful of other Guests when setting up equipment to capture those perfect holiday moments. To be safe, I suggest familiarizing yourself with the
Property Rules page for specifics and any updates before your visit!
I highly recommend a holiday-themed “resort hopping” day for a festive day outside the parks. Start at
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa to see the magnificent tree and its towering, life-size gingerbread house—a true holiday icon. Then, head over to
Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, where the grand Christmas tree and cozy, rustic ambiance will have you feeling the spirit of the season. Don’t forget to swing by
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, where unique African-inspired decor adds a cultural twist to traditional holiday cheer. Also, if you’ll be visiting EPCOT, the
EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays offers plenty to explore, from Holiday Kitchens featuring seasonal bites from around the world to Candlelight Processional performances with celebrity narrators.
Thank you again, Emily, for your question! I hope this helps with your planning. As always, please
come back to see us at planDisney if you have any more questions as you get closer to your holiday visit!
Happy Holidays!
Brent
