    1st trip to WDW. Panicked because we aren't staying at a WDW resort. Ordered tickets and made restaurant reservations...transportation and parking from off-site...is it hard? Costly? Is there an issue with eating at hotel restaurants? THANKS!!!!

    Hi Beth,

    The most difficult lot to park in is Magic Kingdom. This lot is far away from the park. You will need to park your car and then take either a paddleboat or monorail to the Magic Kingdom. The other three parks as well as the two water parks and Downtown Disney have much easier parking. I often think it might be easier to drive to these parks than ride the bus.

    Parking as of spring 2011 is $12 a day. You can save your reciept and use it to park at another resort on the same day.

    As for parking at the resorts, these slots are reserved for guests staying or dining at the resort. You could find yourself without a car if you park here instead of paying to park at the theme parks.
