1st trip WDW Dec 2013. Kids 8 and 4 (girl and boy). Deciding between lunch at Crystal Palace or breakfast at Tusker House. Already doing dinner at Sci-fi, Park Fare, and Akershus, Breakfast at Hwood and Vine. Want Ohana brkfst but too far from AS Music.

Hi Amy! How exciting to be planning your family's first Walt Disney World vacation! You've chosen some really fun restaurants -- I know your family is going to have such a good time!

Both Crystal Palace and Tusker House are great character meals with tasty food so you can't go wrong with either of them. I recommend that you choose the restaurant with the characters that your children want to meet most. At Crystal Palace they could meet Pooh, Tigger, Piglet and Eeyore, while at Tusker House, Donald, Daisy, Mickey, and Goofy usually appear.

If your kids would really prefer the Lilo and Stitch breakfast, it's not too far from the All-Star Music Resort. To get there you'd just need to take the bus to the Magic Kingdom and then hop on the monorail to the Polynesian. (The bus trip from the All-Star Music to the Magic Kingdom takes about 30 minutes. If you want to go to the Polynesian you'll need to allot another 15-20 minutes to walk over to the monorail and ride it over to 'Ohana.) It's easiest to book breakfast at 'Ohana on the morning that you're planning to go to the Magic Kingdom; it will be really convenient to hop on the monorail after breakfast and head to the park.
