We have a trip to Walt Disney World planned next month and have booked spots at the Star Wars dessert party. Whats the best time to plan on arriving, and what characters will be be able to meet?

Hi there, Jennifer! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thank you for stopping by and sending in an excellent question!

I don’t know about you but I am a HUGE Star Wars fan. The incorporation of this universe into Disney’s Hollywood Studios is such an amazing occurrence and has provided so many exciting opportunities for Guests to experience! Of course, we can’t forget about the biggest addition arriving in Fall 2019 - Star Wars - Galaxy’s Edge! This immersive land is going to place Guests right into the planet of Batuu and open up a whole new world of experiences!

Getting back to the question at hand, Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular Dessert Party is an awesome adventure for both fans and future-fans of Star Wars alike. I would recommend arriving at the time of your reservation or getting in line approximately 15 minutes prior to the start time. Tables at this event are not reserved so, if there is a specific area you would like to be in, you will want to arrive on time.

There are actually a variety of Characters that you may be able to meet during the event! It is very likely that Stormtroopers will be patrolling the event to make sure every one stays in line, though you may be able to request a picture with them if you ask nicely! In addition, you will often see Jawas running around Star Wars Launch Bay seeking to make trades with Guests. You may also potentially see Chewie, BB-8, and Kylo Ren depending on whether or not they’re off fighting in galactic battles at the time of your dessert party!

I hope you have a magical experience!
