1st trip in Sept. with sons, 8 & 4. Want to make sure they "get" the movie references/characters @ the attractions ( NOT seen "Honey, I Shrunk..." or any of the "princess" movies). Planning a summer film fest to familiar

What a great idea!  You will find that most of the rides and attractions center around the characters everyone already knows - Mickey Mouse, of course, and all of his friends feature prominently.  You'll find a couple of Toy Story themed rides, and a Monsters, Inc. show.  Splash Mountain centers around the story of Br'er Rabbit.  And the kids are likely to run into a few princesses during your visit!

Other movies that you might find reference to include Indiana Jones (stunt show at Disney's Hollywood Studios) and Star Wars (also at Disney's Hollywood Studios, with the Star Tours ride and the Jedi Training Academy).  And then there are the rides that were made into movies - The Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean (not necessarily appropriate for your four year old).

    Enjoy your summer movie watching!
