    Trip Sept 10-15, 23 when are hours be released? Would go a long way deciding which parks to make reservations. Staying at AKL. Does Disney plan to have extended hours for HS & AK like they do for MK & E? They offer special events so why not EH?

    Welcome back to planDisney, Jennifer! It's so good to hear from you. And Hakuna Matata! What a regal visit you'll have at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. Some panelist friends of mine are there now, and I've enjoyed their photos of giraffes and ostriches roaming near their balconies. Talk about feeling the love tonight! Jennifer, you've found your tribe here at planDisney because we are planners, too. I have a Walt Disney World Resort visit in October and am awaiting those park hours to drop! So let's do some digging and see what we can find.

    I chatted with a Friendly Cast Member who said it's difficult to know when park hours will be announced, so he advised keeping a watch on the Disney Parks Blog for updates. He added that the recent announcement of the dates for Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party could have delayed the park hours release, so keep peering out onto everything the light touches. I'm sure we'll see those theme park hours soon. 

    My panelist pal Jennifer answered a question about September park hours in the past, which might help you with your planning. If you make a theme park reservation now that you decide to change once those hours are announced, you can make any reservation changes online. Just hover over the My Disney Experience tab and click on Theme Park Reservations to make any modifications. 

    I have not heard of any plans to add parks to Extended Evening Hours, but we never know what's around the corner. The Disney Parks Blog would also be the first place for any announcements about that. I've taken advantage of those hours, and it's a fabulous opportunity to experience some great attractions. There may still be a chance to enter additional virtual queues for attractions like Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and TRON Lightcycle / Run Presented by Enterprise. I'll cross my claws and paws so that you can experience those attractions because they're my favorites.
