I have a trip planned for September. My mother has been diagnosed with cancer and must go thru chemotherapy and surgery in the coming months and will not be well enough for me to leave as planned. Will I be able to cancel and get a refund for my trip?

    Dear Michelle,

Thank you so much for stopping by to visit us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your great question about your September Walt Disney World Resort trip.

I am so terribly sorry to hear of your mother's illness, and having gone through this recently with my own mother, I completely understand that all plans must be put on hold while you are working together to get her well!

You can modify or cancel your upcoming trip through the way that you booked it in the first place. If you used a travel agent, I recommend contacting them directly. If you booked through Walt Disney World Resort, I recommend calling a friendly Cast Member at 1(407)W-DISNEY and they will be able to assist you with your options.

Again, sending only good vibes for your mother's recovery, and I hope that you can plan a trip together very soon celebrating her wellness!
