I have a trip planned for September 2020. My family from Tampa is planning on visiting me twice during my stay. Do you know if they might have any difficulty coming to my resort to meet me so we can carry out our plans for the day?

    Howdy Betty,

It is great to see you here on the Disney Parks Moms Panel asking another vacation question! There is a ton of new information to sort through as Walt Disney World prepares for the phased reopening of the theme parks and resorts. Although there will be changes, I am so excited that the parks and resorts will be reopening, giving Guests the opportunity to once again experience the magic of a Disney vacation. How exciting to have your next Walt Disney World vacation just around the riverbend.

I love having friends and family visit our resort when we are vacationing in Walt Disney World, but with the current implementation of health and safety measures, the day Guest policy has changed. At this time, in order to enter a Disney Resort hotel, Guests must have a confirmed room reservation or confirmed dining reservation. An option you may want to consider is to meet up with your family for a meal or some shopping in Disney Springs. In this everchanging climate, I highly recommend that you continue to check the Disney Resort Hotels: Know Before You Go page and Operational Updates Page for the latest, most up to date information. You can also speak with the Front Desk Cast Member upon your arrival to confirm the day Guest policy at that time.

I hope that this information helps you to better plan your September vacation to Walt Disney World. Please stop back by any time we can assist you with more of your vacation questions.
