    We have our trip planned for sept 4 2013...booked last month and hoping to get a reservation at Be Our Guest and/or Cinderella's Royal Table. As of now there are no reservations. Do they open up more spaces day off or do people typically cancel?

    I think that it is unlikely that they will open up any more seats. And while cancellations do happen, it is less likely for these two very popular restaurants. But it does happen. I like to be honest about that, so that you don't get your hopes unnecessarily raised too much.

    What I would recommend you do is the following;

    • Make a backup plan. Have another reservation for somewhere else at those meal times, so that even if you don't get your first choice (or in this case, first two choices), you don't end up totally missing out.
    • Keep trying. Cancellations do happen, so right up to your trip call once a week to try to get a seat.
    • Visit early. So assuming you never got the reservation you wanted, you still have one other option. Go to the restaurants early, right at their official opening hours. You may have to wait a while, but they could fit you in. Reservations are just the first to get tables, not the ONLY people to get tables. I have gotten into the California Grill on a Friday night like that before. 
    I know it is can be disappointing to not get all the reservations we want, but keep trying and I will send good wishes your way!
