    have a trip planned for June 2014, How long will it take us to get to Downtown Disney from the Magic Kingdom? We will be trying to make a 5 pm dinner reservation and don't wish to be late and incur the $10 late fee. Thanks!

    Hi Donna! Downtown Disney is a great dining destination -- there are lots of good restaurants there. 

    If you'll have a car, give yourself at least 40 minutes to go to the Transportation and Ticket Center and then drive to Downtown Disney. If you're relying on Disney transportation, you can get to Downtown Disney in about the same amount of time by hopping on a bus to the Saratoga Springs Resort and then taking a bus or walking over to Downtown Disney.  If you're planning to return to the Magic Kingdom after dinner, you may want to change your plans to make a reservation at one of the restaurants inside the park or at one of the nearby resort hotels so you don't waste a lot of time traveling back and forth to your meal.

    You won't be charged the $10 fee if you're merely a little late for your dining reservation. Restaurants apply that charge only when guests fail to show up for their reservations at all and don't cancel in advance.
