Welcome to planDisney, John, and Welcome Home!

I am thrilled to help you with your Walt Disney World Resort adventure; it will be here before you know it! I took a look at your previous question, and it looks like you may be staying at Disney's BoardWalk Villas. BoardWalk Villas happens to be our Disney Vacation Club Home Resort and one of our favorite DVC destinations. Let's take a peek at refurbishments!

I checked with a Cast Member, and they reported that an estimated time for completion for the BoardWalk Villas refurbishment has not yet been announced. The Cast Member indicated that approximately half the Villas were in some state of refurbishment. If you are hoping for a refurbished room, I recommend calling DVC Member Services about a month before your trip and requesting that a note be put on your reservation. There is no guarantee you would be placed in a refurbished room, but Cast Members always do their best to accommodate requests if possible. During your stay, I recommend visiting the Ferris W. Eahlers Community Hall. Crafts, games, movies, and rental equipment are available to entertain your entire party.
