Hi, we have a trip planned for Dec 14-21. We previously had a gold AP but some dates are blocked out. Can we buy 8 day tickets with park hoppers, then upgrade to gold AP before leaving the park our last day (we are DVC) to use on our next trip?

Hi Heather, and Happiest of upcoming Holidays to You!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! You are visiting the 'World during the Most Wonderful Time of the Year! I love Walt Disney World during the holidays. The Parks are decked out in their holiday fittings, and the Resorts are resplendent. My favorite thing is that the Resorts smell like Christmas - there is a giant Gingerbread house in the lobby of the Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa that is a must-see, and the trees at Jambo House and Disney's Wilderness Lodge always vie for my favorites trees in all the Resorts!

One of the best ways to say goodbye to a vacation is to plan the next one, and the great news is that any valid ticket can be applied to a Disney Gold Pass. You can upgrade in person or via the My Disney Experience app. As long as the pass has not expired, before you leave Walt Disney World, bring it to any theme park ticket window or Guest Relations location. Make sure to have your Disney Vacation Club membership card and picture ID with you. There they will apply the price you paid for the original ticket to the cost of your new Disney Gold Pass. If you prefer to use the app, don't forget to link your tickets by tapping "My Tickets."

You've made such a smart decision with this pass. It is exclusive to Disney Vacation Club members and Florida Residents, so you are amongst a select few who get to enjoy the exclusive benefits. You will be able to park hop, enjoy Disney PhotoPass downloads, and have access to exclusive offers and discounts with Disney Resort hotels, dining, merchandise and more!

If you have any other questions regarding the upgrade, don't hesitate to call (407) WDW-PASS or (407) 939-7277. There is also an Annual Passholder Help Form that you can use to email the dedicated annual pass Help Team.

Heather, chEARs to a merry trip!
