Trip for Oct planned. Got pin for FD but my dates don't apply. Now hoping 4 room discount instead. If I have to cancel reservation in order to rebook with % off room rates, will I lose all the ADRs under my initial reservation or will they transfer over?

    Hi Julie!

Having grappled with this issue just this year, I can definitely sympathize!   I'm glad I can help you sort it out so you can continue to plan your magical vacation!

If you have booked your vacation with a discount code, and wish to change to take advantage of another promotion available, you can do so without the fear that you will lose your ADRs.  ADRs have their own dedicated reservation numbers, and remain independent of your resort/vacation package.  Any changes you make to your resort reservation will not affect your ADRs in any way.  They will still be active, but will not be linked to your new reservation.  However, you can request that Disney Dining link them to your new reservation if you'd like, but it is not necessary.  My best recommendation is to write all your ADR numbers down on a separate sheet of paper, just in case they do not appear on the WDW screen after you've changed your reservation.  You can then add them in manually if you like.

Hope this helps you plan your magical vacation!
