Trip Jan 2020, son w/Aspergers, is a very picky eater. Last trip, very end, we went to BOG. We explained to our server that he would not be eating....anything. They didn’t charge us for a meal. Likelihood this will happen with other TS that he won’t eat?

    Hi Angeline!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  I am so happy you've stopped by to ask a great question.   Your question resonated with me, as I also have a son with Aspergers and getting him to eat has been tricky his whole life.   I understand your dilemma and am happy to share my experiences with you.

For Table Service restaurants that are not Character  Dining meals you should be able to not order anything for your son.  You can simply tell the server that he is not able to eat or he will share food off of your plate.   I have done this many times, or just ordered my son a drink and appetizer I knew he would eat.    At Character Meals I have always been charged for a meal, because half of the meal is about the experience.  I have found the same at buffet meals you would be charged.  We often avoid buffet meals as I know my son would never eat enough to make it worth our while.

I hope this has helped.  If you have any other questions about traveling with your son to Walt Disney World Resort.  Please let me know.  It's always a pleasure to help out a fellow Guest.
