Welcome to planDisney, Loyd. It sounds like a trip to the Disneyland Resort is in the works and we're so glad you stopped by to share this question with us.
Although we'd all love to believe that we'll experience a happy ending 100% of the time, there are times when things unfortunately don't go the way that we planned.
Travel Insurance is a way that we can protect the magical vacation that we worked so hard to plan. A Travel Protection Plan can be added when you are booking a package that includes both a hotel stay and theme park tickets.
While travel protection is not required, it
can be helpful and provide things such as travel assistance during an interruption. The plan provides coverage if you cancel or interrupt your package for certain reasons (described in the plan) such as illness or injury. I recommend carefully reviewing the
terms, conditions and exclusions so you are aware of what specific reasons are covered. My fellow panelist pal,
Amy, also had some information to share that may be helpful as you are considering this option.
Loyd, I hope this is helpful. Only you will be able to decide if adding a travel protection plan will make sense for your vacation and I hope that I was able to provide you with some information that will help you make that decision. I'll be sending all the pixie dust your way and hope that you have a most magical visit to the Happiest Place on Earth!
