1st trip to DLand this year. We are planning to celebrate my daughter's 9th Bday there. Our son will be 4 and I'm concerned about jealousy of sister's party. Any advice on minimizing the jealousy factor? How to make it just as special for him? Thanks.

    Hi there Patrick,

I'm thrilled to infinity and beyond about your first trip to The Happiest Place on Earth! Celebrating magical birthdays with the mouse is going to be a memory your family won't forget. It is so sweet that you are thinking of making the visit special for your son too.

Be sure to stop by Guest Services and get your princess a free Birthday button to wear on her special day; Cast Members that see her in the parks will be sure to send her warm wishes throughout the day. Get your son a "First Visit" button, little brother will feel special having his own button to wear.

The birthday princess will love Fantasy Faire in Fantasyland; it's the place for all things Princess! There are Meet 'N' Greets & two shows to be enchanted by. In Disney California Adventure Park, your son will love A Bugs Land made just for the little ones. Turtle Talk with Crush is fun for the whole family.

The Character Dining experiences are a great way to meet with your favorite Disney Characters! The Characters stop by your table to sign autographs, have a chat, and make special memories with your family! One of our family favorites is Goofy's Kitchen located in the Disneyland Hotel. You have the choice of breakfast or dinner while Goofy's friends make a special visit at each table.

You can also sprinkle some more pixie dust on the big day for your birthday princess by ordering a personalized birthday cake if you're dining at select table service restaurants. To make your son feel extra special, you can have a pirates treasure chest sent to the table for him. Call the Disney cake hotline at (714) 781-3463 to order one, they will need at least 72 hours notice prior to your magical date needed.

I hope this helps and that you have a pixie-dusted visit. If you have any more questions, please visit me here and let me know how I can help you plan your magical vacation.

    Wishing you magic!
